FPV Lab
This is my open lab notebook for building, tuning and understanding FPV drones. It collects three kinds of material:
- Fundamentals — the physics and math behind why a quad flies, hovers and accelerates the way it does.
- Components — how the individual parts (motors, props, ESCs, batteries) behave and how to read their specs.
- Builds — full part lists and notes for specific aircraft, organised by drone type (5″ freestyle, tiny whoop, long range, and so on).
There is also a Build Log — a running journal of actual builds, crashes, fixes and small experiments.
Two languages
Every page exists in English and Polish (Polski). Use the language switcher in the top-right corner to change languages. If a Polish page hasn't been translated yet, Docusaurus falls back to the English version so nothing ever 404s.
How to read this
If you're new, start with The Physics of Flight — it sets up the vocabulary (thrust-to-weight, hover throttle, prop scaling) that the build notes lean on later.
LiPo batteries store a lot of energy. Anything here involving charging, soldering or first power-up is written from a hobbyist's experience, not as formal safety guidance. Always cross-check against your gear's documentation.
